This is an oldie, but goodie. A few years ago, Coast to Coast AM Host Art Bell dedicated a phone line for employees of Area 51 to call in to his show. A very frantic and obviously scared man called up the show and began to talk about aliens and Area 51. The call was knocked off the air before the man could finish his rant, and to this day it is unknown who or what actually took the phone call off the air. Elaborate prank? Who knows, but it’s an interesting recording nonetheless. Take a listen and see what you think.

i think that was very convincing i also think it could be real

This is quite convincing. And if it is real, it adds another piece to the puzzle…

im pretty sure this is prior to the game so i dont think they are connected but this sounds almost exactly like the premise of half life 2.

just wanted to throw that out.

I have to wonder, if someone wanted to get something out there so badly… why pause and stammer so much? I understand you are scared but wouldn’t one try to limit that? I understand he was deathly afriad, I would have been too. Never played half life 2 but I’ll look in to that. But I’m not going to completely debunk this, there really isn’t anything to hands down disprove it.

Native_Spartan07@hotmail.com boy…..talk bout everything wierd

This is clearly fake, in my opinion. It just sounds too forced. If he, in reality was fearing for his life, he would have done this in a different way. You don’t call a radio station ALONE and spew out “government secrets”. You should have sense enough to do it some place public, so that your life is a little more safe, especially if you worked at area 51, shouldn’t you be a little smart?

brittany on 21 June, 2008 at 9:26 pm #

i think its believable

Shelbs on 10 July, 2008 at 9:02 pm #

Yeah Jim, but sometimes, when people are scared to death sometimes they just can’t speak clearly! Sounds like he just figured this out too.

one thing that bothers me is that of he was discharged a week ago why did it take him that long to tell people i mean if this is true then he wasn’t gonna tell any one untill he heard that theres an area 51 call in i mean if it was something that serious why would he wait a week. fake in my book.

just did some research (i live in uk so i haven’t listened to this show ever) and apparently his show is renowned for stuff like this theres one phone call when i guy claims to be flying over area 51 in his homemade plane and gets shot down in mid conversation.

boomge on 11 September, 2008 at 6:01 pm #

oh and finally too bruce half life 1 has the same premise as 2 and that came out much earlier

According to Art Bell, not only was the phone call lost, but they also lost all signal for the whole staion and the broadcast. They had to fire up their back-up generators just to get the broadcast back on the air. That would really make anyone wonder just went on over that one phone call.
