Not sure what this animal is. At first, I thought it was a malnourished coyote, but upon closer inspection, I’m not so sure. It doesn’t really have “dog ears”, which would rule out classifying it as a canine. Perhaps it is a Thylacine, an animal thought to now be extinct?
Sweet my post made it to front page.
It does look like a Thylacine or Tazmanian Tiger but the ears are a bit bigger than on some of the old pics I’ve seen. I did see a story not long ago speculating that they are making a resurgence Down Under. There’ve been a number of sightings in the past couple of years. No video like this though. Cool.
Sorry guys, but this bit of supposed cryptozoology has turned out to be more veterinary in nature - it’s a coyote with a very bad case of mange. Normally mange causes small bald patches, but when an animal is undernourished it can lose all of its hair to mange. This one has been confirmed by zoologists.
Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. I thought the ears were a little big.
it looks like a malnourished african wild dog.
god why does everyone say its a coyote or fox with mange?!? i mean you never know it could be something else!!! didnt you even notice it looks like it has hooved feet? i know i did.plus its tail and face arent that of a dog.
Its definately a coyote with mange. There’s one that used to come around my house.
It probably still had hair around its paws which gave it that look of hoofed feet.
And coyotes aren’t actually dogs, they’re cousins of dogs, so there are differences between them.

Do you know what mange does to an animal that is undernourished and is not treated? Look at the above video and the previous picture showing a manged fox. I have a bunch of coyotes out here where I live and that, my friend, is a coyote with mange. As Kristin said Coyote’s aren’t dogs, they are a cousin of the dog, just as the wolf is. I understand your point of view, but it is just plain fact.
i think we can close the book on this one, it DOES look and act like a coyote too much for it to be somthing else just beacuse you want it to be.
i happen to think that it is a nice and cute creature just like any other animal.
ok i got my eyes on you britkid
if your realized its feet seem to bo hoofish like
If you saw either a hairless cat or dog would you try to make it out to be some kind of freak or extinct non-human being? That’s pretty much what you’re seeing here, it’s a coyote that’s lost MOST of it’s fur. Nothing exotic about it.
I feel bad for it. it really does look like a malnourished dog of some sort… poor thing. i don’t see hooves; it looks like the feet are just in really bad shape. and it looks like it’s fallen into a some sort of frantic dilution. i have a friend whose dog developed a sort of doggy hysteria and it acted sort of that way. they had to put it down.
