Here’s a story you don’t see every day! A giant hole that is estimated to be around 262 feet in diameter has mysteriously appeared in one of the remote regions of Siberia. The region is called Yamal which literally translates to “end of the world” in Russian. Yamal is a largely uninhabited peninsula surrounded by Arctic waters and mainly serves as a gas production area to supply Europe.
It is unknown what caused the giant crater to mysteriously appear, but theories range from global warming to meteorite to a UFO landing. Scientists are being deployed to the area to conduct further research. We’ll update when we learn more.
